Big Gain, Inc. affirms its support of Iowa agriculture through an investment in the Coalition to Support Iowa’s Farmers (CSIF).

Brian Waddingham, executive director of the Coalition, says the group has stepped forward with an investment to support CSIF's efforts in working with livestock farmers.

“We’re extremely grateful for the contribution made by Big Gain, Inc. to the Coalition and deeply appreciative of their support of Iowa agriculture,” he says. “The financial commitment made by Big Gain, Inc. will assist CSIF in its efforts to provide direct assistance to livestock farmers as they strive to grow their farms successfully and responsibly.”

“Big Gain, Inc is very proud to continue supporting the Coalition to Support Iowa’s Farmers”, said Kelli Totemeier, Cattle Nutritionist with Big Gain, Inc. “The Coalition has been a huge asset to our customers by providing a clear understanding of the rules, regulations, and resources needed to grow in an environmentally responsible matter. We look forward to a long working relationship with the Coalition to help livestock producers across Iowa improve and expand their operations.”

The Coalition to Support Iowa’s Farmers has helped over 3,700 farm families grow responsibly and successfully since its launch in 2004. CSIF assists farmers with rules and regulations, site analysis and neighbor relations. The Big Gain, Inc. investment assures these services remain free and confidential for all Iowa farm families.

The Coalition to Support Iowa’s Farmers was created by farmers to help farmers raise livestock successfully and responsibly. It’s a joint partnership involving the Iowa Cattlemen’s Association, Iowa Corn Growers Association, Iowa Egg Council, Iowa Farm Bureau Federation, Iowa Pork Producers Association, Iowa Soybean Association, Iowa Turkey Federation and Midwest Dairy Association.

The non-profit, non-partisan organization provides assistance to farmers at no cost. CSIF does not lobby or develop policy. Farm families wanting a helping hand can contact the Coalition at 1-800-932-2436 or visit www.supportfarmers.com.
