Just Released: Calving Under Roof Videos

06-13-2013 in Cattle

In the last year, there has been significant interest in growing Iowa’s cow herd. But with less and less pasture ground available, how can Iowa’s cow numbers grow? And how can farmers better cope with the obstacles Mother Nature throws their way?

One option many farmers are turning to is calving under roof. With the help of Hoop Beef Systems and the Iowa Cattlemen’s Association, the Coalition has developed a video series to address the most commonly asked questions about calving under roof, including information on management, nutrition, animal health, building design, regulations and more.
