Good Farm Neighbor Award

COALITION POSTPONES GOOD FARM NEIGHBOR AWARD NOMINATIONS UNTIL FALL OF 2021

This year has been anything but normal, and the Coalition to Support Iowa’s Farmers (CSIF) is doing its part to help adjust to these ever-changing times. Due to the global pandemic, we are postponing the Good Farm Neighbor award nomination process until the fall of 2021.

Since 2003, the Wergin Good Farm Neighbor Award has recognized 153 Iowa livestock farmers who go above and beyond as environmental stewards, animal caretakers and community leaders.

NOMINEES MUST MEET FOUR CRITERIA
  1. Family operation
  2. Active in their community
  3. Produce livestock or poultry to the highest animal care standards
  4. Dedicated to conservation and/or environmental stewardship on their land

The Wergin Good Farm Neighbor Award is made possible by the financial support of the Coalition to Support Iowa’s Farmers, and is presented with the Iowa Department of Agriculture + Land Stewardship and The Big Show.

If you know a family deserving of the Wergin Good Farm Neighbor Award, watch for our nomination period in the fall of 2021. If you have any questions, please contact Gabby Glenister at gglenister@supportfarmers.com.
