Series of Workshops Address Livestock Issues, Inspections

The Iowa Farm Bureau is hosting a series of informational workshops entitled “Iowa Livestock: Managing Risk, Capturing Opportunities” around the state during February. The Coalition to Support Iowa’s Farmers will be present to share insight on environmental regulations and upcoming DNR inspections.
The sessions will offer expert analysis on a wide range of issues in livestock production, including marketing arrangements, beef and swine production tips and current animal health topics. They will also include a livestock market outlook.
The workshops will be held:
Wednesday, Feb. 26: Osceola, Lakeside Hotel Casino, 777 Casino Drive
Thursday, Feb. 27: Independence, Heartland Acres Agribition Center, 2600 Swan Lake Blvd.
Friday, Feb. 28: Cherokee, Western Iowa Tech Community College, 200 Victory Drive
