WEST DES MOINES, Iowa – August 21, 2019 – Producers Livestock affirms its support of Iowa agriculture through an investment in the Coalition to Support Iowa’s Farmers (CSIF).
Brian Waddingham, executive director of the Coalition, says the group has stepped forward with an investment to support our efforts in working with livestock farmers.
“We’re extremely grateful for the contribution made by Producers Livestock to the Coalition and deeply appreciative of their support of Iowa agriculture,” he says. “The financial commitment made by Producers Livestock will assist CSIF in its efforts to provide direct assistance to livestock farmers as they strive to grow their farms successfully and responsibly.”
Producers Livestock is an Omaha based organization offering livestock sourcing and marketing, commodities trading and hedging, and loans and credit facilities to farmers and processors in the Midwestern U.S. and Central Plains.
“Producers Livestock is very proud to support the Coalition to Support Iowa’s Farmers”, said Tim Meyer, Senior Vice President with Producers Livestock Credit Corporation. “The Coalition has been a huge asset to our customers by providing a clear understanding of the rules, regulations, and resources needed to grow in an environmentally responsible matter. We look forward to a long working relationship with the Coalition to help livestock producers across Iowa improve and expand their operations.”
The Coalition to Support Iowa’s Farmers has helped over 4,500 farm families grow responsibly and successfully since its launch in 2004. CSIF assists farmers with rules and regulations, site analysis and neighbor relations. The Producers Livestock investment assures these services remain free and confidential for all Iowa farm families.
The non-profit, non-partisan organization provides assistance to farmers at no cost. CSIF does not lobby or develop policy. Farm families wanting a helping hand can contact the Coalition at 800.932.2436 or visit supportfarmers.com.
