WEST DES MOINES, IOWA – June 17, 2026 – Olivia Hanlon has been named Communications Specialist for the Coalition to Support Iowa’s Farmers (CSIF).

In her new role, Hanlon will communicate the Coalition’s mission and services by sharing the success stories of Iowa farm families who have grown their livestock farms successfully and responsibly using on-farm best management practices. She will also support the Coalition’s outreach efforts by developing content that highlights CSIF’s commitment to helping farm families navigate the opportunities and challenges of livestock production.
A native of Madrid, Iowa, Hanlon grew up on her family’s diversified crop and livestock farm, where she developed a passion for agriculture and supporting Iowa farm families. Prior to joining the Coalition, she served as Communications Manager for the Iowa Pork Producers Association, where she worked on strategic communications efforts, developed producer-focused content, and promoted Iowa’s pork industry. Hanlon holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural business and a master’s degree in business analytics, both from Iowa State University.
“The Coalition’s reputation has been built on providing prompt, reliable and trusted assistance to Iowa farm families,” said CSIF executive director Brian Waddingham. “Olivia will help strengthen that reputation through clear and consistent communication, helping ensure farmers continue to view CSIF as a valuable resource.”
The Coalition to Support Iowa’s Farmers was created by farmers to help farmers raise livestock successfully and responsibly. It’s a joint partnership involving the Iowa Beef Industry Council, Iowa Cattlemen’s Association, Iowa Corn Growers Association, Iowa Egg Council, Iowa Farm Bureau Federation, Iowa Pork Producers Association, Iowa Soybean Association, Iowa Turkey Federation and Midwest Dairy.
The non-profit, non-partisan organization provides assistance to farmers at no cost. CSIF does not lobby or develop policy. Farm families wanting a helping hand can contact the coalition at 1-800-932-2436.
