CSIF Seeks 2018 Communications Intern

Each year, the Coalition to Support Iowa’s Farmers (CSIF) encourages students to take an active role in assisting Iowa’s farm families by offering a paid communications internship. The Coalition to Support Iowa’s Farmers (CSIF) is currently seeking applicants for the 2018 internship program.
Preference will be given to candidates who are an Iowa resident with an agricultural background, and a full-time college student in good scholastic standing with an agricultural communication related major. The selected student must have excellent written and oral communications skills and exhibit a strong interest in the livestock industry.
Intern responsibilities will include assisting with content development for the CSIF website, Iowa Livestock Insider newsletter, Green Farmstead Partner blog and social media platforms. The selected candidate will also help coordinate open houses on livestock farms, promote Wergin Good Farm Neighbor Award presentations and collect video testimonials from Iowa farm families who have utilized the Coalition’s services.

The Coalition to Support Iowa’s Farmers was created by farmers to help farmers raise livestock responsibly and successfully. It’s a joint partnership involving the Iowa Beef Industry Council, Iowa Cattlemen’s Association, Iowa Corn Growers Association, Iowa Farm Bureau Federation, Iowa Pork Producers Association, Iowa Poultry Association, Iowa Soybean Association, Iowa Turkey Federation and Midwest Dairy Association.
