COALITION TO SUPPORT IOWA’S FARMERS NAMES ELLE RUFFNER 2026 COMMUNICATIONS INTERN

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa – June 2, 2026- Elle Ruffner has joined the Coalition to Support Iowa’s Farmers (CSIF) as their 2026 communications intern.

Ruffner will assist with CSIF’s statewide mission of supporting Iowa’s farmers, as well as helping with CSIF’s social media management, event coordination, and industry partnership relations.

Ruffner is a senior at Iowa State University (ISU), where she is majoring in agricultural communications and minoring in animal science with a focus on the dairy industry. She serves as vice president of ISU’s Dairy Science Club, helping lead committee planning, events and alumni relations. Ruffner also serves as an Iowa Midwest Dairy Ambassador, advocating for the state’s dairy industry. Originally from Bowling Green, Ohio, she grew up on her family’s wheat and soybean farm and was actively involved in 4-H and FFA through projects that included rabbits, ducks, and chickens.

“Agriculture has been one of the greatest blessings in my life, teaching me the value of hard work, community, and the dedication of the people who work every day to feed the world,” said Ruffner. “As the 2026 CSIF communications intern, I’m grateful for the opportunity to tell the story of Iowa agriculture, strengthen connections with Iowa farm families and communities, and continue growing as a communicator.”
