Janie Plendl

Communications Intern

Plendl will help advance CSIF’s mission of supporting farmers as they raise livestock responsibly and successfully through assisting with content creation, event planning, and maintaining strong relationships with Iowa’s farm families and industry professionals.

Plendl is a senior at Iowa State University, studying Agriculture and Life Sciences Education, Communications Option and minoring in Animal Science, Public Relations, and General Business. In addition to her studies, Plendl is a member of Block and Bridle and the Agriculture Communicators of Tomorrow. She currently spends much of her time on the road picturing livestock shows of all species. Before attending Iowa State, Plendl grew up on her family’s livestock and row crop farm located in northwest Iowa. Growing up, she was actively involved in both 4H and FFA and spent most of her time working on livestock and showing both locally and nationally.
