Midwest Cow/Calf Symposium
Shrinking pasture availability has led many cow-calf producers across the Midwest to consider calving under roof as a viable alternative. That’s why the Coalition to Support Iowa’s Farmers teamed up with the Alliance for the Future of Agriculture in Nebraska, the Iowa Cattlemen’s Association and the Nebraska Cattlemen to host the Midwest Cow-Calf Symposium.
Nearly 300 beginning and experienced farmers from eight states attended the two day event to learn about the key management decisions of raising cows and calves in a confined setting.
Thank you to Accu-Steel, Hoop Beef System and Central Confinement Service for coordinating the producer panels and providing the drone footage featuring current cow-calf facilities.
